Visiting the Kid Museum

Today I had the opportunity to hang out with The Nephew at the local Kid Museum while his folks were visiting the Chicago Temple. So much goodness all around!

The Nephew is still pretty little, so his attention span isn't exactly super long so we spent the afternoon running from exhibit to exhibit (and often inside them as well)...

Racing the cars to the end of the track

After a while, a sort of haphazard pattern appeared to his winding wanderings:
Turns out he really likes wheels...

And water...

These water-shooters were set up to shoot the chimes...

...but he prefered the splash from shooting the water.

And rather than float the boat on the current...

...he preferred to fill them up and pour out the water.

Then there was the shopping section..

he was especially fond of the check out station...

Then for a while he was a Veterinarian..

Selecting his specimen..

Carefully grooming the turtle

But I think the over-all favorite was the tubes that filled with air when you rode the bike

All in all, we had a great time :)
