So, Chicago has a pretty extensive collection of random art and sculptures scattered all throughout the downtown area. I'd heard that, recently, a new sculpture had been added: a 30ft Eyeball. It'll only be around for a few months, so it was something I definitely needed to see sooner rather than later.
It's been up since early July, and while I had seen pictures, I'd not yet come across it in my daily wanderings. Knowing that my time was limited, I'd begun to contemplate looking up its actual location so that I could make a conscious effort to see this sculpture before it left town.. but still hadn't actually done anything about it.
Then, during my lunch hour today, I decided to walk to the downtown library to check out a new book. On my way there I happened upon the eyeball!
Mission accomplished.
