Nature Walk

Now that things are finally starting to get warmer around here, Hubby and I are trying to make a concerted effort to get outside more often. I have grand dreams of, one day, driving out to the suburbs to visit some forest preserves, but with a young baby with a small tummy (and no love of solid foods), those longer visits to the outdoors will have to wait. However, for now, we have some parks nearby that are easy walking distance and starting to show signs of Spring. I am so ready!
Hooray for budding buds!

This past weekend, we took a leisurely stroll in the park, enjoying each others' company, fresh air and the late afternoon sun. In our wanderings, Hubby and I introduced Townshend to some of the wonders of nature. (yes, even in the city, there is nature to be found!)
Everything is new and exciting..

All that rain last week has brought us green grass

I love the bright green that is freshly open buds

Of course, you can't have a blog post without a shot of gratuitous cuteness (can't get enough of these two!)

Looks like a blast! Townshend is adorable, and you've got a good eye with the camera! Love the pic of him touching the bud. What a cutie!! Thanks for joining my blog hop!
