Since getting pregnant, I wanted to make sure that my whole blog doesn't become completely overwhelming with baby stuff so I intended to post about other things. However, that might be tougher than I anticipated.. this being pregnant stuff is really all-consuming. But, in retrospect, I did do some things in May that were not specifically baby related:
I gave my bedroom a face lift...
Before:
this doesn't quite do the grossness of the green justice.. just believe me
it was gross.
After:
Oooooh I love it!
And my littlest sister graduated from high school, so I popped up to be there for the ceremony:
made it almost to the end without tears :)
obligatory cap toss
And my Hubby and I took a trip all around Illinois to see the non-Chicago parts. We've dubbed it the Illinois Kitsch Extravaganza of 2012. Here's a taste:
Visiting Hubby's Alma mater in Champaign-Urbana, IL
in Ashmore, IL to see the World's Largest Lincoln Statue (tiny dot above my head)
Elizabethtown, IL - I can see Kentucky from my back porch!
at Cave-in-Rock, IL visiting the big hole in the rock
Metropolis, IL
Liberty Bell of Kaskaskia, IL
Coming down from Monk's Mound at the Cahokia Indian Mounds
Collinsville, IL
Being chased by a Fire Dragon in Vandalia, IL
Cozy Dog Diner in Springfield, IL
Gorgeousness of northeastern Illinois
Yeah. So, May. It was pretty good!

Pregnancy *is* a whole-body experience, that is FOR SURE.
Love the dragon. I think that's my fav. Looks like an awesome trip!
That dragon was pretty awesome! Apparently made from all recycled stuff, it actually does breathe fire.
