As my family and friends are all spread out across the states, I like to send birthday cards since I likely won't be able to attend the various festivities for them all. In June and July I send out something like 11 birthday cards. Weee!
Every year, all this birthday frenzy is kicked off by my Hubby's birthday. Since I generally am around for his, this includes all the trimmings:

this year it was a mini flourless chocolate cake
It's also a tradition to get together with his folks to see a White Sox game. This year they were playing the Astro's and it was a clear win for the Sox:
