Not to say that I'm not completely stoked and glad to be expecting and all that jazz, but I could do without the nausea (which still comes around occasionally, even though it's not supposed to last beyond the 1st trimester) and the diminished energy coupled with chronic sleepiness.
Last night I was SO tired the only thing that I wanted to do was curl up on the couch and cozy up in a blanket, watch some something on my laptop and, just in general, chill. So, I did (there may or may not have been ice cream involved).
A little while later, my Hubby came upstairs and was completely amused by the image I presented. So, he grabbed the camera to capture the moment.
Behold:
Oh yes. The glamour of pregnancy!

Have you read "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy"? Hilarious and no sugar coating. FWIW I didn't find any of my pregnancies glamorous. And labor/delivery less so. ;)
Too funny! --And I recognize that quilt! I'm glad it's still in service!
I love pregnancy, but I have to admit, it does have its inconveniences and even unpleasant bits. Nausea definitely falls into that category!
Ooh, I'll have to check out that book, sounds like something I'd enjoy.
Yep! Love this quilt, it actually is on our bed most of the time (over our feet), but I borrowed it for the evening.
Wow, congratulations! You're going to be an amazing mother. While I'm of the opinion that anyone who says she just loooooves pregnancy (or newborns, for that matter) is LYING, there are certainly a couple of things to enjoy. Hope everything is going smoothly and it isn't tooooo grievous and that you're getting lots of naps and anything else you need/want to make you as comfortable as possible. We have #3 due Sept 8th over here and wow, am I NOT enjoying hitting the 3rd trimester as summer gets into full swing. Bleh!
