However, in all this brainstorming and pondering, people are generally not real keen on bouncing ideas off of each other; uniqueness and surprise are half of the fun! So while two heads may be better than one, most of the time costumes are planned and determined behind closed doors.
That being said.. I've been doing some costume construction and it's turning out pleasingly well and it's also quite photogenic! So, without disclosing any sensitive information regarding the actual costume being created, here's a peek at some of what's been going on over here at our house:
Fun fun fun!

I'm excited to see what great costume comes from that fabulously creative brain of yours!
Hopefully I'm able to make my idea work.. I've been having trouble!!
I'm curious...
No worries Rits.. If I can make it work, there will be pictures!
How's your costume coming?
Very very slowly. It's suffering from a lack of funding too: I just spent the last of my spendable money on those cake toys. I may have to do it next year...
Ah yes.. I do know how that goes.
Though, you could just make a fake cake and wear it on your head and put flour on your nose, run around with some frosting bags and be a Mad Baker or something :)
This is gonna be good! You have us all holdingour collective breath!
Mwahahaha!
We actually had a nice break-through tonight.. earlier today I was beginning to wonder if I was going to be able to make this work and now my faith has been restored! :)
