Sweet Home Chicago

(from http://www.anthroblogs.org/nomadicthoughts/archives/personal_reflections/)

Ah, Chicago. Have I mentioned how great this city is? Yep, I love it.

So, my coworker and I were chatting the other week about how we work downtown, but don't often get out and actually see much of it. And there is a lot to do and see down here! So that got me thinking and, in keeping with a recent trend of being pro-active with my life happenings (to act rather than wait around to be acted upon), with a little collaboration, we have organized a group to get out and take full advantage of this city. Our objective: explore the smorgasbord of tasty restaurants of all sorts in the downtown area. And one benefit of working a day job is that quitting-time coincides quite nicely with Happy Hour, so our periodic excursions won't even break the bank.

Our first trek took us to Siam Rice for Thai.
Recently I've decided that, if it's done right, Thai food is exceptionally tasty (and even moderately healthy). This place does it right. Plus, you eat with chopsticks; everything tastes better when eaten with chopsticks.

Yum. An excellent choice indeed.

I'm glad that our first trip was successful and you liked the food! Great job on pictures of your coconut curry. We must plan our next trip soon!

I agree! Brent makes fun of me for always getting the chopsticks, but they're just fun to use!

Too many people already know about Siam Rice, that's why its so crowded for lunch and we always end up ordering in!

It is great though.

Heh.. yeah, Siam Rice isn't so much a secret. Though, this was my first time dining in.
So Zac, my Chicago expert friend, do you know about some fabulous, hole-in-the-wall tasty place to eat downtown?
