This is Halloween!

This year, with the Halloween birthday party in early October, the house was ready extra early. This freed up lots of time to focus on other aspects of Halloween. Among them: figuring out everybody's costumes. This year, my costume was the one that was all DIY and required the most time to assemble, allowing for fun sneak-peeks as things progressed:

Finally, the day arrived! The kids at school had a parade in the afternoon.. however, it also snowed a few inches that day, so the parade was indoors. Moon and I went to watch and wait to see when Townshend would come by:

After school, we went home to warm up and to get ready for trick-or-treating. Hubby had a late meeting, so he had to miss out on the snowy trek around the neighborhood.. See the contrast between when he left in the morning and we went out a little after 4pm.

Paul Bunyan and Babe the blue ox

Vampire bat, carrot and yellow chicken with a red tail

The kids were troopers, and out into the whirling snow we went, however we didn't have to go too far before they were ready to hang it up for the night.

The next day, Townshend decided that the best use of his candy was to do experiments! Who am I to argue?

A happy Halloween indeed.

Ugh - snow on Halloween. Who needs it. Looks like you had fun anyway!
