Silly Christmas Fun
One of the fun things that Chicago does around Christmas time is to send around some super-decked out el trains. I lucked out a couple times, way back when I was commuting regularly, and got to have my ride home in a super festive train car.
But these days, my riding is so infrequent, I knew it'd have to be intentional if I was going to see the magic again this year. Moon is going through a super-love-of-trains phase, and Townshend is really getting into Christmas this year, so I figured the train would be an excellent overlap of their interests.
Happily, the CTA puts out a schedule, so I kept an eye out and when the train line near me got its turn, we hopped on! And, serendipitously, we ran into Hubby as he was coming home, so he got to ride along with the boys and me. Sweet!
Moon was there too, but it was hard to take a selfie with the stroller. But he was enjoying himself immensely.. kept saying "choo choo" and "lights!!"
Townshend has voiced his desire to make this an annual thing... I think we might be able to make that happen.
