Face-Lift

We've had this great little sign in our home for a long, long time:

I'm a little fuzzy on its origin story, but it was passed on to us from my mother-in-law. I think it's super sweet and Hubby and I had it hanging in both places we've lived during our married life. And, in both places, the brown and reds really went well with the overall color scheme.
(you'll have to forgive the Halloween decor, this was the only picture I could find with the sign on the wall,
and it's from our party in 2011)

However, in our new place, the overall color palette is different, so it was time for our great little sign to have a face-lift. Bring on the spray paint! (and I no longer have to smuggle the paint over the boarder, here they sell it outright!)

Once the primer was dry, in came some color!

Finally, I added back in the text and tied it all together with a new, leather cord and voila! Here it is in its new home:
photos with no white make finding the right white-balance most interesting; my walls aren't quite *that* green...
