Well, it's happened: Townshend has turned one. I have to admit, there were times when I feared that it might never come, (though, happily those moments have been increasingly fewer and further between) but here we are! Sometimes I forget just how small he was when he came home that first time...

Since, at this age, he doesn't really have a clear concept or appreciation for pretty birthday presents, I decided to keep my gift to him mostly straight forward; I'd make him a
sensory table. I started it
way back in July, and have slowly been piecing it together, bit by bit.
Just as a reminder, here's the table as it was originally:

The pictures don't quite capture the fullness of his reaction, but I think the squeals are a good sign that it was a hit!
