Sounds good on paper, but OH what a long project it was! Happily, knowing that movie making takes a while anyway, I kept up with it throughout the year; finishing the previous month before the end of the current month, so that by October, all I really needed was a couple clips and the birthday party. That definitely made the whole thing a little less bonkers at the end.
Then, of course, there was the soundtrack to consider. I'd selected Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 early on as the main soundtrack for the video (hooray for it being in the public domain). But I had a terrible time picking the music for the birthday party.. Happily, I have a crackerjack music consultant with a ginormous music library who lives with me. I did a little research on my own, but couldn't come up with a song that was quite what I was looking for. So, I asked Hubby for some help. I gave him a nicely vague outline of the perfect song : something instrumental, solo - preferably piano, lively and fun but not pretentious, and it's pauses and breath points shouldn't distract from the visual...
And, BOOM! he pulled out a CD of Chopin for me. Perfect!
Here is the final result of our collective efforts and activities over the last year: Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes condensed into 19mins and 34secs

This was awesome! Oh, Kate, you're little boy is adorable. What a fun idea. I loved that whole video. People should watch that every day to start their mornings off right. :) Congrats to Townshend for turning one!!
