One interesting thing about not renting anymore is that there's no landlord to take care of the little fix-it jobs that inevitably pop up around the house. Happily, my hubby and I are resourceful folks and can handle these sorts of hands-on jobs.
In the last couple weeks, we've really been knocking things off our To-Do list.
There's been spackling:
Sealing:
Gluing:
We also attempted some spot-painting....
...unfortunately, some of it worked better than others:
Our doors look beautiful again!
However, we're going to have to back and try again with matching the paint for the walls; the first attempt didn't quite come out like we'd hoped...

Hehe.. there are pros and cons. I don't actually mind the little fix-it jobs too much :) It's kind of satisfying to see a job well done.
