Birthday Season!

June is an exciting month, it kicks off the birthday season and the summer. Hubby's birthday is the first in the wave of birthdays that goes through the summer. This year, we started off with a date at the bowling alley.

In the last few months, we've been trying to go on more dates, but that gets complicated sometimes when you're juggling schedules and coordinating babysitters. We got it in our heads that bowling would be a fun thing for a date, but we had the worst time making it happen! The first couple times we tried at the local alley and we'd call in advance and they'd say it was no problem but then we'd show up and they'd be closed for private events. Then we went, but got sick before we got there. Finally, on the birthday weekend, we found a place!!

Then, of course we had some cake; chocolate with chocolate frosting (with some help):

Finally the party! The little guy was having a hard time with having no presents.. happily, Hubby was willing to let him help.

Here comes the summer!
