Spring Like a Pendulum

This spring has been awfully temperamental... the thermometer has been jumping from one extreme to the other.
No coats!
Heavy coats!

We've had warm blue skies, then back to chilly. We broke out the bikes a few weeks ago.. then we dipped back down. Up in Wisconsin they've been being pummeled with snow. We, down south a ways, have been lucky to have mostly missed that kind of excitement.

Light jackets!

Trees are budding!

Yesterday, we were all out on a family bike ride. Slowly, but surely, I'm building my biking muscles back up. At this age, for the kids, riding is more about the destination than the journey, so we always work in a visit to a park.

As we headed to bed, the weather app said it might snow. And I was hopeful this morning when there was only rain... but, alas, the snow did come.

My response? Go home, Spring.. you're drunk.

Yeah, spring can't decide whether or not to stay. As I drove to work this morning and saw that the snow was melting away so fast I was thinking I hoped when it was gone in a day or two that it works stay gone until fall. Let's hope.
