I swear, kids are little cesspools of incubating germs; it feels like every other week one of them is sick. This week, it was Townshend's turn.
When the boys are sick, I like to shake it up and not just watch movies all day (it doesn't help that too much screen time turns them into crazy people on the best of days). However, if you do an internet search for non-tv things to do with sick kids, the bulk of the ideas are crafty sorts of things. Crafty things are totally up my alley, but Townshend has *zero* interest in those types of things.
So, today we opted for some fort building. This time around, I thought we'd try building one over by the couch, so we had to move the coffee table out of the way. But first, vacuum!
That took up a good amount of time, but eventually the novelty wore off and we got down to building.
Turns out, the couch and a fitted sheet are an excellent combination! It lasted the whole day!
And, all three of us could fit inside. Not a bad way to spend a sick day morning.

Ugh! It was never fun when one of the kids got sick; you could count on it getting passed between the lot of you and taking forever before it would finally be gone. Yay for creative sick days! You got a thorough vacuum job and everybody had fun in a fort! Well played!
