Halloween!!

Once again, Halloween has come and gone. All that preparation and excitement for one lovely night of silliness and fun. Though, really, as the boys get older, turns out there are more parties and such that crop up to help keep the fun going a little longer.

A week or so beforehand, we carved our pumpkins. Neither of the boys were too keen on getting guts on their hands, so my picture taking got interrupted so we could move forward with the project.

Tuesday holidays are funny things.. it's in the middle of the week and it's hard to party on a weeknight, so the weekend before - though a little far from the actual day, is used to the fullest. This year the Saturday got quite full, so we had our Halloween dinner on Sunday. "Eyeball" tomato soup, ghostie grilled cheese, pumpkin (shaped) dinner rolls, and some "fat maggoty" little smokies. Yum!

Monday was the party at Townshend's preschool. They were kind enough to invite Moon and me as well, so that was fun.

With all the excitement the previous few days, our Tuesday morning was remarkably chill, however things did pick up in the evening. Hubby got home from work a little early, we all went out for a quick jaunt around the neighborhood for trick-or-treating which lead straight to some dinner and then I had to run out the door to go to choir practice (attended in costume, of course.)

Leading up to Halloween, I posted a few teaser photos on my Instagram to share the progress of things:

Hubby's hat: Complete

my hat: before

my hat: Complete

But, with all that going on, I didn't get too many pictures of us all on the day of. Still, a few are just as good.

a bat, Eeyore's rain cloud, a ghostie, and a gumball machine

"Let's go TRICK-OR-TREATING!!"

Hubby and Townshend are already plotting what glorious things they'll dress up as for next year. Happy Halloween!!!!
