Case in point. We have an outlet in our kitchen that is one of those big, sticky-outy sort. It's an important one that would really be a problem if it were pulled out.
It calls to him, with a siren's call. No amount of "I won't let you touch that." or "Come away from there" can deter him. It's been an issue as long as he's been mobile, and he's only getting more mobile.
First, we had this, and it worked for a while:
Then we moved up to this. This one worked for quite a while:
But now, it's no longer enough. My cheeky little Moon will push the chairs out of the way, wait until I'm looking and then just put his hand on the outlet. So, I decided it was time to bring out the big guns.
Boom! Though it looks a little ridiculous, I suppose that's a price of having children. Now hopefully this thing can stand up to my little Moon.
The good news is that now we can, once again, have two chairs by the island. Hooray for chairs being chairs!

Speaking as one not immediately affected by this, I find it hilarious that he's so intent, not only on playing with it but with making sure you know he's at it. What a pill!
