Summer Favorites

While I *love* jacket weather and changing leaves, there's always a small part of me that feels a bit melancholy when we get to the first weekend of September and summer's (un)officially over. Then, I saw a blog post that was all about that author's favorite summer things; what a fun idea, I'm totally borrowing it! So, here's my list.

Summer favorites:

• Having my sister visit and playing all over Chicago
• Finding good forest preserves/hiking places near my house
• Playing in dirt with my planter garden (and having pretty good success!)
• Family reunion and road trip to Mt. Rushmore
• Taste of Chicago.
• Finally painting Townshend's room
• Visits from the grandmas and grandpas
• Making friends with the neighbors
• Rearranging and reorganizing parts of the house that've been bugging me forever
• Finding more time to get back into my creative hobbies

While it's been good in a quiet sort of way, it *has* been a good summer.
