The upside was that we discovered Shaun the Sheep is on YouTube... sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

The downside about quarantines though is that one's house is only so exciting.. cabin fever sets in. And by the afternoon, Townshend was feeling improved, so we got more creative with our entertainment.

And, to survive the witching hour, we pulled out all the stops: Building a Fort
This is likely the most elaborate one we've ever done yet, and I've learned a few things to make it better next time but, for the hour before dinner, it did a good job entertaining us all.
That, and the rope:
Pictures are funny things... they capture a split second of life. If you're really good with the timing you'll get something magical and cute like this:
And that moment existed and was cute and undeniably post-able, however, the bulk of the time inside the fort looked more like this:
While a whole different sort of photo, it's a pretty fabulous one in its own right.
All the fun finished with the inevitable collapse of the fort.. still, through the fabulous imagination of a preschooler, it quickly morphed into a most excellent canoe:

That fort -- and the photos -- are pretty awesome. I'm going to have to ponder if we have a place that would allow for string to get involved in our fort building. We usually just go with the old blanket-over-cardtable type of fort. Which never becomes a canoe.
