Happy Turkey Day!

So, with all the excitement in our kitchen with the water damage and everything, we didn't actually do any cooking for Thanksgiving. But despite the lack of tasty festivities from our own kitchen, we had family come into town and we played games and enjoyed each others company. And, happily, our church had an Alternative Thanksgiving where there was delightful turkey and all the trimmings and fun company.

So, perhaps not the traditional sort of holiday that we had envisioned a couple months ago, but it was lovely all the same. I'm thankful that things worked out! It's really the little things - family, and finding the good in all things.
