Since we don't really get out much these days, I thought I'd bring the celebration home and make an occasion of it. I brought out our table cloth, china and candlesticks and even threw up a few streamers to make it all festive.
Last year, Hubby commented that it'd be funny to have a cake with the cover art from the Pink Floyd album "Dark Side of the Moon" with the lyrics: Shorter of breath and one day closer to death. Super cheery birthday sentiment, right? But it tickles his sense of humor, and it IS his special day, so... why not?
Last year, I thought he was just kidding, but when he mentioned it again this year I figured that he really did mean it. So, I made it happen. (though, the writing was slightly little off, he still thought it was pretty fabulous)
Bring on the summer and all the birthday fun!
