Walking Among the Tulips

It seems that our unseasonably summery-spring has turned into a normal Chicago spring. This morning I woke up to an impressive downpour, complete with spectacular lightning. I do like thunderstorms.

And what's best about rainstorms is the blast of color that follows with the sun. I love the bright greens on the tress and the little sprouts that appear in the ground. And, today, as I was walking about, I came across these lovely tulips:

I love spring.

Beautiful! Makes me want to find me some tulip bulbs this fall and try to do something like that in my garden. Flowers are so lovely. I need to plant some more.

Flower gardens are great. I'm excited for it to be warm enough that I can try another go-round with my deck planters.
