Progress!

Most evenings, I water my garden after the sun has gone down and it gets pretty dark out back. So, the other night when I went out a little earlier, I was completely taken by surprise when I saw a little baby tomato sprouting on my plant!
Wohoo! I was super stoked. And, to make things even better, upon further investigation, I noticed a couple more small tomatoes coming along. I can hardly wait for the delicious ripe fruits of my labors! Gardening rocks!
And, while we're on the subject of progress of things, I FINALLY started working on my table this weekend. I dismantled it completely and have sanded off the varnish and glued the broken bits together. It's about ready for the next step.. now I just have to decide: stain or paint?
These are the questions that try men's souls.

My first reaction is always stain because there is just nothing more beautiful than the natural color of wood showing through a nice light stain (or just a protective coating, really. Let the beauty of the wood shine through, I say!!) However, if it's pine it would be just fine to paint it. Any other type of wood I would seriously think twice about staining over. That's just my two cents, though. :)

Heh... Yeah, that's definitely how I'm leaning. There's just something nice and warm about wood.
This isn't made from fancy wood, but it's real wood enough to have a grain that (if given the right color stain) can look nice.
