Mmmmm... candy

Ok. So I know that the Easter Bunny doesn't actually have anything to do with my own view of Easter.. but that doesn't change the fact that Easter candy is the best of all the holiday candies.

Yep, Easter candies are the best of the lot, but I'm rather particular about which ones. I don't so much go for the sickly sweet creme-filled eggs or jelly beans.. nor do I go for the cheap (hollow) chocolate Easter bunnies. However, every spring brings about my annual love affair with mini eggs. Specifically, Whopper's Robin Eggs and Mini Eggs by Cadbury... Yummmmmmmmmm.

Part of me wonders if the draw of these specific candies isn't largely enhanced because (like the addicting Girl Scout Cookies) they only come out once a year...  Be that as it may.. this year, I couldn't resist going out and getting some.
It seems that I'm not the only one to favor these specific candies.. I had to go to two Walgreen's to find some Mini Eggs!  It was worth the effort :)

Yum!

I 100% agree that Easter has the best candy, although I do love the jelly beans and cream filled eggs too. Cadbury started making the mini creme eggs, which actually are good in their own right--and perfect when one of the larger eggs is just too much.

But nothing beast the cadbury mini eggs with solid chocolate. I should just buy stock in Cadbury.

Hmm.. perhaps I may try the mini Cadbury eggs... that filling is just so sweet!
Maybe I'm just a jellybean snob.. I don't like the Easter jellybeans. However, Jelly Belly jellybeans are tasty all year round :)

Yep, we've already done in several boxes of peeps, and polished off our first bag of robin eggs yesterday. Though I wasn't paying enough attention & got the regular ones, rather than the minis. Minis are superior. Funny, I don't like the JellyBellys at all, but find the regular ones tasty!

Hehe.. Rits, I think you and I could share candy very nicely.
You like the mini Robin Eggs, I like them bigger.. and I really really don't like Peeps.
And I think it would be a blast to visit the Jelly Belly factory that I pass on 94 whenever I visit the Parents :)

I was just telling James the other day that I thought Easter candy was better than any other holiday candy, so it's nice to know I'm not the only one. My dad loves the Cadbury solid chocolate mini eggs and gets them every year. They are good, but I'm not a huge fan of plain chocolate items so I don't eat them very often. Peeps and jelly beans are not among my favorites, though. I do enjoy the caramel Cadbury eggs. I just found out about them this year. So good!! And Snickers eggs are really good too. Each year, James and I can hardly wait for the Easter candy because we stock up on the Reese's mini peanut butter eggs. They are the PERFECT size and distribution of chocolate and peanut butter. They are the best!! What a great post!! I'm going to have to comment on Easter candy on my blog now too. :)

Couldn't agree more. I've loved the Cadbury mini eggs since I discovered them in 1989. (I was a senior in high school, that's the only reason I remember.) The reese's pieces eggs are good too!

Yeah.. you pretty much can't mess up the combo of peanut butter and chocolate :) Yum!
