Plannings and Projects

There are things in life that just have to be done, however mundane; clothes need to be ironed, cars upkept, bathrooms cleaned. Yes, but there is no rule that says you can't spice things up a bit. There are all sorts of options out there: customized ironing board covers, Superman floormats, and polkadotted shower curtains, and that's just a beginning! Now, I recognize that these things don't exactly help make the tasks easier or any more enjoyable, but they definitely cut back on the monotony and prosaicness of it all.

We have 1.5 bathrooms. I have great plans for that .5!

That .5 is a cozy little room; the very definition of a "water closet". Certainly, it is fine. It's functional and the decor is respectable; it's not ugly or anything. Simply, it's just terribly uninteresting. However, I have great plans to remedy that. (Mwahahahhahahahhaha)

Eventually, I will be painting it. Currently, the walls are a nice shade of "Dove Wing" white. While that is charming and all, I think it could be ever so much more interesting. Eventually, it will have an underwater motif, with the walls gradually changing from a deep blue to a really light blue; as if you were looking up and the ceiling was the surface of the water.
Something sort of like these:

The painting will probably have to wait until the summer (until it's warm enough to open some windows). However, in the meantime, I've taken the first steps toward the .5's transformation. Today, I put up a shelf (that eventually will be painted to match the walls) and a fish vase with flowers. It ROCKS.

Cool fish! And I like the idea of underwater scenery! Glad to see you'll be coloring on the walls again. Such cool stuff always comes of that.

You can color on my walls any time!!! I think that I am going to be busy this summer doing some painting at my house. I wish that I could get it done for April - but it isn't going to happen. oh well!! :) :)
