We Found an Epic Adventure Place

 This past weekend, the little guy attended a birthday party for a friend. It was held at a local forest preserve adventure park. Before the party, I had no idea this place existed, but it was a grand time! First, they got their safety harnesses on.

All the kids were equal parts excited and nervous about climbing up in the treetops.. but they got to try out a starter course before they headed up. Then, for further moral support, there were several adults who went up to help them along.

At some points, it seemed like he was just barely tall enough to hold onto the ropes as he went, but he pushed through. My friend was up there with him and she told me he talked himself through the toughest parts, chatting up about how it was similar to virtual reality and how the different types of ropes were similar to the different ropes in Minecraft. 

The final hurrah was a zip line to get off the course. I couldn't quite tell how the little felt after his first time off the zip line... but then he was all geared up and wanted to go around again.

They all had an hour to do as many courses as they wanted to. All in all, my little guy went around two of the loops before calling it quits. It was a very exciting party! In the end, he said he'd even be willing to do it again!
