This beach is also on the lakefront bike path. The plan was to park at the lot from the 31st beach, bike up to the 12th street beach (a new one to me), play for a bit and then bike back, hit the playground for a bit and then head home. Great plan! Only trouble was that, when I pulled out the trailer, I only had one wheel. Grrrrrrr!
Ah well, the good news was that we were still parked at the beach. So, to the beach we went!
It was another hot, hot day. (I seriously got blisters on my feet from the hot, hot sand). Happily, Lake Michigan is always cold. We all had fun! It was a good afternoon.
Before we left we hit up the playground. We'll just have to do our biking another day.
Summer in Chicago is the best!

Biking is always an option; you can plan the same trip and do it another time. The beach looks fun - looks like you almost had it to yourself.
