It's easy, when you have a very small baby, to get stuck in the mindset that you can't get out and do much. 'Cuz, really, the tether to home feels terribly short when the baby eats so very often. Turns out, one just needs the proper motivation and determination (and a little extra bravery about public nursing), and all sorts of fun can happen!

| Unexpected visitor at our local park |
The other week, my sister and her kids came to visit. She'd never been to Chicago, and a visit to the Bean *was* on her bucket list, so we made it happen.

| Moon's first time on the train |
I'm no stranger to playing Chicago tour guide to the occasional visitor but, as I've only been a person with kids for a (fairly) short while, this was the first time that ensuring the activities were kid-friendly was a consideration. We chose slightly different activities than might have been done otherwise, but it was a good time all the same.
We had only a couple days, but we packed it full!
| 1st stop: Buckingham Fountain |
| A stop at the Crown Fountain for some splashing and lunch |
| We made it to the Bean! |
| Trying a Chicago Style hot dog (with *all* the trimmings) |
| Exploring the beach |
| What do you see? |
| All helter-skelter |
| I love me some Chicago! |
