Decorations for a Baby

Babies generate a lot of excitement and love from all quarters. Sometimes I'm taken a little by surprise at how interested everyone is in even the most mundane details.

As it'll be a few more months before my little one comes into the world, there aren't very many opportunities to share stories or images of the actual kid. However, people seem more than happy to get excited about things only peripherally related to the baby (including, but not limited to shelf decorations in our baby room).. it amuses me greatly.

So, my Hubby and I have been working to put together a nursery room. It's definitely a work in progress; babies require lots of stuff; so many things to collect! But, amid all the necessary things (crib, carseat, etc.), it's been great fun to add a little flavor to the room as well.

Most recently, my Hubby and I put together a Night Sky Projection lamp (this old thing we'd picked up on a whim, more than a year ago, when visiting the local planetarium gift shop). He had a really nice one as a kid and loved to play with it, so we thought that it'd be a fun addition to our baby room.

This one isn't quite as awesome as the one from Hubby's childhood (definitely more decoration than a toy), but it sure makes a cool display!

Monkey loves it. He thinks it's a *great* night light for your little one!
